General information
- What's on the hot iron transfer sheet:
Giving both the embroidery motifs and the cutting and seam lines: 3 pieces for an infant's dress (front, back and sleeve); 2 for the cap (crown and brim); and 1 for
scalloped bib. Embroidery motifs only: center motif for dress front; 2 corners for kimono or sacque; scallop edging for hems; 1 curved neckline spray; 2 triangular .
sprays for slips or gowns; 2 straight spray lengths (not shown); mottos Baby Dear, Dearest and Darling. Plus one other spray or motto (missing from our sheet and not shown on envelope).
- Techniques used:
Basic embroidery stitches (outline, satin, lazy daisy, french knot) plus simple sewing for the dress and cap.
- Uses and options:
Complete pattern to sew and embroider an heirloom dress, hat and bib set. All motifs are size and shaped for infants clothing, so you can use them with
any sewing pattern or to decorate a ready-to-wear outfit. Dainty motifs also suitable for adult lingerie or handkerchief corners.
- Special notes:
The dress, hat, bib and kimono motif are in the style shown on the envelope right edge; the other sprays are in the style shown to the left. This transfer was
also issued under the American Thread logo. The sheet has two trial motifs -- both a baby's face.
