Vogart/American Thread transfer pattern 133
South of the border motifs
General information
- What's on the hot iron transfer sheet:
Three (?) each of the following: senor, senorita and window motifs; burro in profile; burro with head turned; rounded cactus; and tall cactus.
(Each set of motifs is printed in a block that includes a trial motif and the transfer number. We're confident that the transfer should have three blocks,
but we can't rule out the possibility that there should be four.)
- Techniques used:
Basic embroidery stitches (outline, satin, lazy daisy, french knot).
- Uses and options:
Although these motifs would probably have been used in the kitchen, they allow you lots of freedom to mix and match designs (or portions of designs)
however you like. The people are about 6-1/2 inches high; the burros about 4 inches high; and the cactus roughly 3 inches high.
- Special notes:
This transfer was also issued under the American Thread logo.
Each sheet has one trial motif, a slighter shorter version of the straight cactus.
- Other descriptive terms:
Pedro, Maria, guitar, flamenco, donkey, southwest, southwestern, Mexican, Mexico
