Vogart transfer pattern 108 (reissued as 287)
Popular floral pillowcase design
General information
- What's on the hot iron transfer sheet:
Two each of the following for pillowcases: bowknot bouquet, floral basket, and rose arbor motifs; Mr/Mrs and His/Hers motifs in cross stitch;
vertical His/Hers motifs in outline; and scallop edging to finish the pillowcase backs. There may be one or two transfer sheets,
but you should have a pair of everything.
- Techniques used:
Basic embroidery stitches (outline, satin, lazy daisy, french knot). Floral basket design is mostly stamped cross stitch.
- Uses and options:
Although shown on pillowcases, these motifs are small and easily adapted to other household linen. Each wild rose is about 1-1/2 inches - just right
for napkins or lingerie. The "raining daisies" arbor used with the roses forms a regular scallop -- flip it right side up for a colorful border. Use the bowknot
bouquets as the corner motifs for baby's kimono or a lingerie case.
- Special notes:
This transfer was also issued under the American Thread logo.
The two-sheet version has an extra wild rose as the trial motif on each sheet.
