General comments and suggestions are always appreciated, and questions are answered cheerfully and promptly. Please email us directly at help@sewingpalette.com. If you place an order, your invoice or receipt will include our mailing address (which we do not post because we end up with constant telemarketing calls and mails).

If you've contacted us or sent in an order and haven't heard back within 24 hours, it's probably because your spam filters have blocked our response. Check your spam folder first. If our answer isn't there, make sure sewingpalette.com is on your list of acceptable email senders and try again. We never ignore our customers!

  Ordering something?

Using the shopping cart will allow you to browse, review your items, and checkout online through PayPal's secure servers. (You do not need a PayPal account -- the checkout process will allow you to use your credit or debit card for a one-time payment.)

By the way -- things have to be marked "sold" manually, and once in a while we get an order for an item that has just been sold. We refund immediately if that happens.

If you cannot pay online, or you do not live in the United States, please contact us (help@sewingpalette.com) with the items you want and your full name and address. We'll get back to you with payment information and instructions.

  Shipping costs and methods

There is a single $2.00 shipping charge for most pattern orders shipped to U.S. addresses. (That's per order, not per item.) A few items may have a different shipping rate, but that will be clearly stated on the item page. Patterns are shipped by first class mail, with a cardboard backer and waterproof wrapping. We normally ship on Mondays and Thursdays.

Outside the U.S.? If you use the shopping cart, your order will be shipped International Priority Mail ($19 to Canada, $27.95 to Australia, $26.50 to Europe). International First Class Mail rates are much lower, but you'll need to pay by mail.

  Refund policy

Patterns and transfers are not returnable. That being said, if there's a problem with your order and you think we should make an exception in your case, please let us know within 48 hours of receipt.

Most other items can be returned if you notify us within 3 days and mail the return -- packed and shipped the same way it was sent -- within 5 days. We won't be able to refund the shipping costs unless the return is because of our error.

If you'd like to know more about us before you buy, we invite you to check out our feedback on eBay. Although we haven't sold anything there in a very long time, we've been a member since 1999 and have hundreds of positive feedback comments.

  Getting (or stopping) the news

We are have three separate mailing lists: one to keep up with all site news and events; one for vintage sewing pattern news only; and one for vintage embroidery transfer news only. You can use the form below to sign up or drop off any of these lists.

  Sewing or needlework items to sell?

We are trying to pare down our collection and are not buying things right now -- unless, of course, you happen to have a bunch of those small McCall's patterns with the color labels issued between about 1928 and 1930....

  We respect your privacy....

We collect a minimum of personal information only when necessary and we keep it private. You don't have to log in or register to use our site, and we don't use cookies or spyware to track where you've been.

• If you have a question, join our mailing list, or place an order, we need your email address to communicate with you. If you place an order or have a question about a special shipping rate, we will need your shipping address. We don't sell address lists or share this information with others.

• If you use our shopping cart, which is powered by PayPal, they will set a cookie to keep track of the items in your cart. We are notified of your selections only if you complete checkout. PayPal has their own privacy policy which can be viewed at their site (www.paypal.com).

• If you pay online, you will enter your account information at PayPal's secure server (which is again governed by PayPal's privacy policy). Your financial account information is not passed on to us -- just your shipping address and the amount paid.
