  Order online, pay online or by mail, ship anywhere

All items for sale at the Sewing Palette can be ordered directly from the item detail page. You can pay online with your credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express) or your PayPal account, or by mail with a money order. We ship internationally.


  Use our shopping cart or Buy Now buttons if you'll be paying online. The correct shipping amount (currently $2.00 for orders going to U.S. addresses and $11.00 for orders going outside the U.S.) will be added automatically at checkout. Look for these buttons:


NEW - If you're buying one item only:

Add to cart button As of January, 2008, you'll find a Buy Now button below the pattern photo. It's a shortcut for folks who are purchasing a single item only. Clicking the button takes you directly to checkout.


If you're browsing or buying more than one item:

Add to cart button This button appears just above the item photo and description. Click the button and a new browser window opens to show the item added to your shopping cart. You can then continue shopping without having to remember where that great pattern was...

View my cart button When you're done shopping just click the View Cart button, which appears at the top of every page. You'll have a chance to delete items from your shopping cart before you start the payment process.


NOTE: The actual checkout is processed by PayPal, but you do NOT have to be a PayPal member to use the shopping cart system. You can simply enter your credit or debit card information on their secure server to make a one-time payment.

Surviving PayPal checkout:

When you first get to PayPal it looks like there's very little information about your order. Not to worry -- just find the blue triangle (shown circled in the example shots below) and click on it. As you see in the two samples below, the blue area expands and reveals your order details. Clicking the triangle again will hide the details.

The exact page layout you see at PayPal will probably be slightly different (it's different every time we check!) but the general idea is the same. You have the choice of signing in (if you have a PayPal account), creating a new PayPal account, or making a one-time payment without setting up an account.

PayPal will send you an email confirming your payment. We'll ship your order within two business days (if not sooner) and send you an email to let you know when it's on the way. We'll contact you sooner, of course, if we have any questions or if one of the items you ordered was already sold.


  Ordering by mail is another option if that works better for you. Towards the bottom of each page you'll find a text box that looks like this:

Just copy and paste that information into an email and send it off to orders@sewingpalette.com. Here's what happens next:

  • We'll email you within 24 hours with your order total and payment instructions.
  • You'll answer our email to confirm your order.
  • We'll mark the items you ordered "Sale Pending" and hold them for 7 days.
  • Orders are shipped within 2 business days of payment and you'll be notified of shipment.
  • Items unpaid after 7 days are returned to stock.

Haven't heard from us? If you do not get an email within 24 hours, it's probably because your spam filters have blocked it. Make sure sewingpalette.com is on your list of acceptable email senders and try again. If you still don't hear anything, check our Home page to see if we've posted a message for you. We never ignore our customers!
