Little House, Daily Chores

Despite the tremendous popularity of DOW transfers, there's little information out there about their history. The first recital of the daily chores list we've found appears in Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder -- originally published in 1932.

Sunbonnet, Colonial and Dutch girl designs were very popular in the 1930s, and those are the first designs we've seen used for Days of the Weeks transfers. But which was first, and when did the design branch out into other characters? If you have early DOW transfers or reference information, we'd like to hear from you!
