1940s cocktail pattern Butterick 4898 in misses size 16 (bust 34, waist 28, hip 37); from 1949. Featherboned bodice is finished with a band that splits into a vee at the center front. Evening or dance version is ballerina length with scarf worn "in the manner of a draped bolero." Sundress version is street length with options shoulder straps. This unprinted pattern is still in factory folds.
